Giving to First Presbyterian Church
Sometimes, you're not able to drop your gift in the Sunday offering. There are other ways to give. First Presbyterian Church is able to accept credit cards & debit cards as another means of making donations. Many are accustomed to the benefits of using their cards. Benefits include frequent flyer miles and rebate programs. Credit cards come with dangers, as well. We do not encourage anyone to go into debt in order to make a gift to the church.
There are two ways to use your credit or debit card:
Recurring Payments
Just fill out the form (you will find them on a table in the back of the Sanctuary or you can use theprintable version on our website), providing your credit or debit card information, the amount you want to give to the church, and the frequency of the contributions. Then bring or mail your form to the Finance office at the church.
Your information is then put into an automated system that runs through our accounting software. At the specified time interval, your card will automatically be charged and the funds transferred to the church’s checking account. Your gift is counted and credited to your member account just as it would be if you dropped a check into the offering plate. All member information and credit card numbers are kept confidential.
If you have questions, you may email Kathy or call her at the office - 707-762-8275 (direct line).

Make a Gift Online Now

You may also make a one-time gift online, using your credit or debit card. We use a trusted online clearing service, PayPal,, which allows charges to most major credit and debit cards - Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express. Simply click the Donate button below and you will be transferred to the PayPal website to make the transaction. You can set up a one-time donation or recurring payments with Paypal. It's convenient and immediate. Your gift is counted and credited to your member account just as it would be if you dropped a check into the offering plate.
Debit and credit card donations are not for everyone, but when used wisely the benefits are significant not only for you, but also for the church.
Online Bill Payment
Avoid credit cards by using your bank's online bill payment feature to set up giving payments to the church. This is a good way to continue your giving, even when you're away and can't attend church. Your gift is counted and credited to your member account just as it would be if you dropped a check into the offering plate. The method is often offered as a free service with a checking account and avoids credit card fees and other bank fees that would reduce the value of your gift. Check with your bank or go to your bank's website for more information on online bill payment. You can use this service to set up a one-time gift or recurring gifts.
Thank you for your faithful stewardship - and your support of our church.
