NORTH BAY FIRES
In early October 2017, Sonoma and Napa counties were devastated by wildfires. We offer our sincere thanks to all those who've been volunteering in the relief efforts.
During the first week, our church was open as a shelter, we hosted a community gathering, and we're continuing to work with neighbors and neighboring churches in response to this and preparation for future disasters.
Please continue to pray for victims, first responders, and all who are being affected by this tragedy.
Habitat of Sonoma County ReStore
For the next few weeks, displaced families will be able to shop at the Habitat ReStore in Santa Rosa for FREE. We will be collecting donations in the Discovery Room (in our church parking lot) through the month of November, and will arrange for delivery to the ReStore. The following will be accepted Tuesday through Friday, 9:30-1:30:
PPSC’s (Petaluma People Services Center) SHARE Sonoma County will be arranging for Emergency Home Shares in Sonoma County. Based on PPSC's successful homeshare model, we hope to be able to find temporary housing for those displaced by the fire.
If you are willing to host an evacuated individual or family in your home for a few days, few weeks, or few months, please contact PPSC SHARE Sonoma County at SHAREfire@petalumapeople.org, an information sheet and application will be sent to you immediately. If you are looking for short term temporary shared housing, please contact SHAREfire@petalumapeople.org, for more information and an application, or contact PPSC 707-765-8488.
If you want to volunteer, please email or call to see what's needed.
