What it's like to Visit FPCP

Our new media player is easy to use. Just hover your mouse over various icons and a caption will appear. Click on the icon for the action described in the caption. You can play a message right now.

You can also subscribe to our weekly podcast in iTunes. That way, whenever you open iTunes, your computer will sync up with the most recent sermon. It will be ready for you to listen to in iTunes or on your iPod or other mp3 player. Click here. This should open iTunes on your computer and take you to our iTunes store.

If it does not, here's what to do (in iTunes 8.0):
Open iTunes on your computer and click "Store" on the Menu Bar and "Search" On the left side, look where it says, "Power Search" and "All Results." Click on "All Results" and then "Podcasts." In the Title box, type "Petaluma First" and click on the "Search" button. You will see our icon and a small bar that says "Subscribe." Click on it and you're done!
Once you have subscribed, click on "Podcasts" on the left-hand menu bar and find "Petaluma First Presbyterian Church." There you can download previous podcasts.

More info on the Archives:

You can listen in several ways. Usually, you just need to click on this icon: Play icon next to the Sermon Title (above) you want to hear. A small pop-up window will appear with 3-4 choices to click on. Try any of them until you find what works. If you have a 56 kbs modem (dial-up), try the "32K Windows Media Audio" or "32K Real Media Audio"
If you have broadband (Cable or DSL), the MP3 choice will provide higher quality.
If you would like more options, click on the sermon title. You'll have the usual choices, plus the option of downloading the sermon file so you can listen to it later when you're off-line.

iTunes and iPod: Podcast

The easiest way to listen regularly to sermons is to subscribe to our podcast. Once you're set up - and it's easy - each week's sermon will automatically download to your iTunes and, if you have one, iPod. There are two ways to subscribe:

1) Go directly to FPC's Page in the iTunes Store and subscribe. Click HERE. or...

2) From the Sermons Page, just go to a sermon and click on this icon:Play icon
and then this one: podcast rss (not here, but next to any sermon).
Or click on the sermon of your choice and then click on the icon that looks like
this: podcast rss.
You'll be presented with several choices. You probably want the one that says: "Apple iPod+iTunes". This will open a dialogue box asking whether you want to open or save a file named feed.pcast. Click "Open." This should open your iTunes and direct you to our sermon subscription. Click subscribe. If that does not work for you, try this:

3) Open your iTunes software and go to the iTunes store. On the right side of your screen, click on "Power Search." Once you're there, click on "PODCASTS" all the way to the right. Then type these words in the "Title" dialogue box: Petaluma Presbyterian. (or try First Presbyterian Church Sermons) and click the SEARCH button. (These instructions are for iTunes 7)

You can also subscribe on your Google Homepage, My Yahoo, Universal Subscription Mechanism (USM), Podcast:// Readers or Feed:// Readers or RSS 2.0 reader - whatever those are. That should be enough options. Oh yeah - there's one more way - come to our church on Sunday morning.
