"The World does not exist for our exclusive satisfaction. It consists of billions of creatures all trying to make their way through life, and God loves them all,
even the creatures that can harm us."

In recognition and remembrance of Saint Francis of Assisi--12th century Italian mystic, catholic friar, and patron saint of animals--you, your pets, and all the animals in your care, are invited to join us on Sunday, September 29 for a special Blessing of the Animals worship service. We’ll bring our furry, feathery, scaly friends, all creatures great and small, who enrich our lives as companions on the journey of life.
If you are online with us on Sunday, we would love to see your pets as well, or a photo of them. They too will have an opportunity to receive a blessing. If having your pet with you isn’t possible, bring a photo to share, or have one that you can share on zoom. We’ll also have a time to share photos and remember those beloved pets who are no longer with us, but who enriched our lives. Join us as we bless these dear ones, and sing with all the creatures of the earth who make our lives richer because of their presence. It might be a bit wild, but I expect it to be a whole lot of fun. As part of our build up to this service, everyone is invited to share a photo to be posted on our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, church website). Send me ([email protected]) a photo of your pets, or a picture of you with your pets, along with your pet’s name, and we will post it for you! |
