TO EACH CHILD, WE WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT:
You are deeply loved by Jesus Christ.
You are an important part of our church family.
Loving and following God is a great adventure – an adventure that will last your whole life.

Children in WorshipWe believe that worship is one of the basic ways people learn what it means to be a follower of Jesus. And, that children learn to worship by worshipping with the congregation on Sunday mornings. Children are always welcome in our sanctuary. Always. To sing, pray, listen and respond to Jesus' love. That response can happen in the sanctuary or in the Children's Worship Center.

Godly PlayGodly Play describes an approach to children's spiritual formation that is based on creating a sacred space in which to present the stories of faith, wonder about them together, and then allow the children open-ended opportunities, usually with art supplies, to engage the story on their own terms. This is play. It is Godly.

TO THE PARENTS OF OUR YOUNG CHILDREN,
MAY WE SUGGEST...
Relax! God put the wiggle in children; don't feel you have to suppress it in God's house.
All are welcome!
Sit toward the front where it is easier for your little ones to see and hear what's going on.
Quietly explain the parts of worship and the actions of the pastor and other worship leaders.
Sing the songs, pray and voice the responses. Children learn liturgical behavior by copying you.
If you have to leave the worship service with your child, feel free to do so, but please come back. As Jesus said, "Let the children come to me."
Remember that the way we welcome children in church directly affects the way they respond to the Church, to God, and to one another. Let them know that they are at home in this house of worship.

TO THE MEMBERS OF OUR CONGREGATION
Please welcome our children and give a smile of encouragement to their parents. Remember that when children are baptized we ALL commit to helping guide and nurture them, in word and deed, with love and prayer encouraging them to know and follow Jesus.
The presence of children is a gift to the Church and they are a reminder that our congregation is growing.
